What is CloudCamp?

CloudCamp is an unconference where early adopters of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. With the rapid change occurring in the industry, we need a place we can meet to share our experiences, challenges and solutions. At CloudCamp, you are encouraged you to share your thoughts in several open discussions, as we strive for the advancement of Cloud Computing. End users, IT professionals and vendors are all encouraged to participate. There is no cost to attend.

Who should Attend?

Anyone wishing to further Cloud Computing or just learn what all the fuss is about!

  • Developers, Architects, Analysts, IT Management and Executives, from App Dev through to Production.
  • Entrepreneurs, founders and leaders of start-up/early-stage companies, venture capitalists and industry analysts.

We’ll close registration the night before the camp, but if you want to be guaranteed a shirt and food, please register by Midnight, March 10th!

Become a Sponsor

Sponsor CloudCamp Rochester
Food and t-shirts are the largest costs associated with a CloudCamp event. In order for attendance to remain free, we ask for your sponsorship. Anyone can be a sponsor.

Becoming a Sponsor of CloudCamp Rochester is a great way you can help invest in lifelong learning potential in the Rochester community. Passionate people talk about what drives them and what excites them in cloud technology; IaaS, PaaS or management software. The experience is unique to each CloudCamp event, and each attendee can learn a lot from the wide range of talks and discussions.

Become a Sponsor
We accept and appreciate all donations. To donate, either select the PayPal Donate button or contact the hosts directly at cloudcamproc@gmail.com.

Not all donations are in dollars. We accept books, shirts, mugs or anything else you have as give aways or swag for conferences. We still hope that you attend and give a presentation. Contact us if you are interested, we’ll make sure you have a spot on the swag table.

Sponsorship Levels
Starting with the October 2011 conference, we’re introducing some simple sponsorship levels. The more you give, the more incentives you get. At the $100 level, you also receive the incentives from the $50 level, and so on. If you hate this, we’ll change it. Here is what you could get:

$1 – All sponsors receive our deepest appreciation, and will be mentioned during the closing session.

$50 – Your name, logo, link(s) and a text blurb on our website.

$100 – Your one-color logo on the event t-shirt back. Each event we give away over 100 t-shirts, and many attendees wear their shirts throughout the year!

$200 – More prominent logo placement. We will also tweet a few times during the event, with contents of your choosing.

$500 – A demo table specifically for you. Your demonstration materials and personnel should still be in the spirit of CloudCamp. This is better than a job fair and space is limited.

Over $500 – Maybe you want your logo on the front of the t-shirt, or you want to be listed as the primary sponsor of the event, or you want to have a room reserved for a series of talks. As long as we stick to the CloudCamp format, we can make it work. Let us know what your needs are and we’ll do our best.

Where does the money go?
We try to utilize our funds as efficiently as possible. Every event, we try to provide some key things to the attendees: A free t-shirt (CloudCamp Rochester logo on the front, sponsors on the back), a good meal (breakfast and lunch), and a chance to come away with something neat (books, stickers and other swag). We also need to worry about costs for promoting the event (posters), as well as costs to help enrich the event as a whole (signage and other non-dated materials).
